Class AR Licence

A restricted Class A (AR) licence allows you to operate a smaller truck-trailer combination such as a recreational, horse, or utility trailer. For more information, visit the MTO licence information website.

Class AR Program

Our Class AR training program covers Schedule 1, Class AR vehicle operation, and backing. The course includes 16 hours of in-class and in-vehicle training. The program will review the components required to successfully complete the MTO road test.

Documentation & Admission Requirements

To obtain a Class AR licence you will need to:

Be at least 18 years old
Hold a valid G class or higher Ontario licence
Pass the A (R) written test
Pass the A (R) road test
