
Class DZ Manual Program
Our manual Class D training program* covers Schedule 1, Class D vehicle operation, and backing. The course includes 44 hours of in-class and manual transmission training. Similar to our Automatic transmission DZ training, you can the manual training program with one of our DriveWise career-ready programs, including Fire, Snowplow, Hydro, Waste Management, Construction, or Delivery Service.
*This program requires approval under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Documentation & Admission Requirements
To obtain a Class DZ license you will need to:

be at least 18 years old

hold a valid G class Ontario license

pass an eye test
-
submit an MTO medical report
-
pass the DZ written test
-
pass the DZ road test

Class D Program
CLASS D GENERAL
Operators with an Ontario Class DZ license are able to drive vehicles including a straight truck, dump truck, cement truck, garbage truck and rescue & fire trucks.
We offer two training options: automatic transmission and manual transmission.

Our automatic Class D training program covers Schedule 1, D Class vehicle operation, and backing. The course includes 28 hours of training on an automatic transmission. Combine your D license program with one of our DriveWise career-ready programs for Fire, Snowplow, Hydro, Waste Management, Construction, or Delivery Service.
*This program does not require approval under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 (for programs under 40 hours).
